This grey CAT6A/7 RJ45 boot is a slide-on strain relief boot for RJ45 / 8P8C modular plugs. It is used when terminating larger-diameter Ethernet cables and should be fitted onto the cable before the RJ45 plug is crimped. The boot helps protect the RJ45 plug latch, provides strain relief near the connector and supports a neater finished cable assembly. It is suited to indoor network and data cabling applications, including LAN installations, patch panels, network cabinets and data centres.
